In Project Time over the past month or so, lots of children
have chosen to create a Side Show for the Twilight Market.
Pinball Machine
“You have to try and
get the marble to hit the other marble that’s on the button.
They can touch the
marble if it’s in the middle of nowhere and put it where it would have gone.”
“The 1/2/3s have a
pinball machine and that’s where we got the idea from.”
“We needed two
marbles, one button, rubber bands, nails, wood, paint and some glue to stick
the button on.”
“It will cost 50
cents.” (since then we have talked
about the Side Show pass so children know they don’t collect money from
individuals)
Pin the tail on the horse
“You have to pin the
tail on the horse where it’s supposed to go with a blindfold on your eyes. If
you put it in the wrong spot, you get no points. If you put it in the right
spot you get one point. If you keep playing and you get more points, you get
different prizes. “
“I got the idea from
another child’s birthday party.”
Pin the tail on the
horse, still being worked on.
There are other side shows that some Bicicletta Preps are
organising, too.
