The first day of swimming lessons

Here are the children’s reflections of our first school swimming lesson:
  • It was so fun. I liked it because sometimes I go to swimming and I like to swim because I like to lie down in the water.
  • Before I didn’t know how to do forward or backward flips but now I know. I felt happy.
  • My teacher put a gold coin at the bottom of the pool and I had to swim in the water to try to get it. It was fun and challenging.
  • I learned how to swim when you move your arms and legs. It was challenging because I couldn’t really do it – it was hard.
  • It’s tricky to do torpedoes.

Thank you very much Svetlana for coming along. Getting 35 preps dried, dressed and packed up is a big task, so thank you for your help!

Thank you to all of the families for being so organised – as far as we’re aware, no child forgot to bring anything (usually at least one child forgets to bring dry undies!) and nothing seems to have been left behind at the pools. Go team!
